SUMMER ARTS IN THE PARK Wisconsin Lutheran College's free Summer Arts in the Park series begins Thursday, June 26th with a 6:30 p.m. concert by Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets. ed by Karen Clarke and family in loving memory of John Clarke who passed away 4 years ago on June 3rd.  IN HIS WISDOM Russell Christian Hein was called home to heaven

on Friday, May 23rd. He was a resident at Willowbrook Nursing and Rehab in Lake Mills. Russell was born on Dec. 2, 1918 to Christian and Ella (Dobberstein) Hein. He was granted by our Lord a life of 95 years, 5 months, and 15 days. His funeral was conducted at Zion church in Columbus on Wednesday, May 28th and his body was laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Columbus.  IN HIS WISDOM Leonard “Lennie” Holzhueter was called home to

heaven on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was a resident at “So Close to Home” assisted living in Marshall. Lennie was born on June 30, 1928 to Otto and Lydia (Lemke) Holzhueter. He was granted by our Lord a life of 85 years, 10 months and 25 days. His funeral was conducted from our church on Friday, May 30th, and his body was laid to rest at Washington Cemetery in Portland.  REMINDERS:

NEW COMMITTEE FORMING The front doors at church and at school need to be replaced. We are currently forming a committee to look into this. If you would like to be on the committee, please contact Wally Schoenherr at 920-478-3418 ASAP. SUMMER SINGERS WANTED! A sign-up sheet is located on the information table for anyone who is interested in becoming a “Summer Singer”. To help with this summer tradition, we are asking soloists and groups to volunteer to sing in our summer services in June, July, and August. Signing up is on a first come, first served basis. Please be sure to check with Pastor Wilsmann or Pastor Adomeit when you choose a song or hymn.

A church gift was received from Adeline Riege in honor of her 93rd birthday on June 4th.

A donation was given to St. John Decorating Committee in appreciation for the wonderful job that they do. This was received from the family of Harold “Shorty” Lemke in memory of his May 29th birthday.

A donation for the Local Operating Fund was received from Nancy Griepentrog in honor of the 50th anniversary of Richard & Gladys Peter.

A General Fund Memorial was received from Nick & Wanda Scheidegger in memory of Russell Hein. Thanks for these gifts.
