The Sub City TAKE ACTION! TOUR will be in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, February 5 at The Masquerade. The line-up for the fifth annual tour includes headlining act Sugarcult with The Early November, Hawthorne Heights, Head Automatica, Anberlin, Maxeen, Melee, Plain White T’s and Hopesfall supporting (note: not all bands perform on each date). The two-month tour--a nationwide trek where cutting-edge musical artists join together to promote social consciousness and awareness--raises funds for the National Hopeline Network, a suicide prevention and crisis hotline (1-800-SUICIDE). This year’s TAKE ACTION! TOUR also benefits a new feature of the Hopeline: the Youth America Hotline! 1-877-YOUTHLINE (1-877-968-8454), a peer-topeer line pairing youth callers up with youth crisis workers in their area. Over the past four years, the TAKE ACTION! TOUR and CD compilations have raised over $170,000 for the National Hopeline Network. Since its inception, Sub City has raised over $470,000 for multiple charities. The Hurley International-sponsored Sub City TAKE ACTION! TOUR 2005 offers fans the opportunity to educate themselves about the National Hopeline Network’s new Youth America Hotline! while checking out performances from their favorite music artists. In previous years, tour headliners have included Jimmy Eat World, Thrice, Thursday, Anti-Flag and Poison The Well to name a few. The national tour and its annual compilation CD serve as an extension of the Sub City concept (www.subcity. net) of raising funds and awareness for nonprofit

organizations through music. The label and tour’s mission is “to create a better world; one voice and one action at a time” by empowering people to make educated choices. Tour founder Louis Posen notes: “Now in our fifth year of putting together the TAKE ACTION! TOUR we’re extremely pleased with our support from the artists, our valued business colleagues and motivated individuals who want to spend their time and money to help raise awareness about these critical issues. With an incredible line-up for 2005, we look forward to reaching more people with this message than ever before.” By teaming with sponsors in a grassroots fashion, the TAKE ACTION! TOUR continues not only to be successful, but also gives back to the community by donating to charities nationwide. This year, industry powerhouses Hurley International, Hot Topic, Tower Records, Etnies, Alternative Press, MTV U, Fanscape, Downloadpunk.com and the National Mental Health Association are joining the TAKE ACTION! team as sponsors in bringing the TAKE ACTION! TOUR to the masses! Check out the following websites for additional information and tour updates: www.takeactiontour.com www.hopeline.com www.youthline.us www.subcity.net www.hopelessrecords.com
