Newly Revamped Fitness Center Caps off Laurier's New Look for 2005 There was much excitement surrounding the 2005-06 season not only because of our Golden Hawk teams, but also because it marked the re-opening of Laurier ’s Fitness C e n t e r. The new Fitness Center is 11,000 square feet and Kinesiology students are also pleased to find 9,000 square feet of labs. The swimming pool has also undergone maintenance including reflooring of the pool and the gallary. The Athletic Complex re-open ed on Thursday September 8th. 3.1 million dollars has been spent on the renovation and restoration of the Athletic Complex. The many months of labourious construction are well worth the wait as the facility is constantly busy with students and staff.
