PROTECTION Founded on supplying military forces and law enforcement personnel with top-of-the-line ballistic eyewear, Wiley X continues to hold safety as our priority, adopting this approach for building our entire line and building eyewear with shatterproof Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses and super-tough Triloid™ frames to provide the highest levels of protection available. Wiley X is continually innovating to deliver unparalleled protection, clarity, and style in every pair of glasses we build. TECHNOLOGY ANSI HIGH MASS IMPACT TEST Wiley X ANSI Z87.1+ frames and lenses must withstand the impact of a 1.1 lb projectile dropped from a height of 50" to ensure your eyes are protected from unexpected blunt force impacts.

ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT TEST Wiley X ANSI Z87.1+ frames and lenses must withstand the impact of a .25" diameter steel ball. For spectacles the projectile must be traveling 150fps and for a goggle 250fps.

V0 BALLISTICS Several Wiley X eyewear models are tested to V0 ballistics which consists of a spectacle frame and lens being impacted with a .15 caliber projectile traveling 640-660 fps, or a goggle frame and lens with a .22 caliber projectile traveling 550-560 fps. Wiley X eyewear models that are part of the Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL) are tested to the Alpha version of the V0 ballistics standard which consists of a spectacle frame and lens being impacted with a .15 caliber projectile traveling 700-725fps, or a goggle frame and lens with a .22 caliber projectile traveling 580-590fps. Both tests are meant to simulate shrapnel potentially encountered on the battlefield.

ALTERNATIVE FIT Wiley X Alternative Fit styles are designed for people who have high cheekbones and a shallow nose bridge. By widening the nose bridge, the eyewear sits higher on the face to prevent contact with the cheeks.

PROTECTION ANSI EXPLAINED

ANSI RATED FRAME AND LENS MARKINGS

ANSI Z87.1+ is the American National Standard for Occupational and Education Personal Eye and Face Protection Devices. It contains performance specifications, and markings of eye and facial safety products — setting the standards they must meet for protection and category include spectacles, goggles and face shields (among others).

Z87 Designation of the standard. -2 The frames can be fitted with a prescription lens, which is the case with most Wiley X eyewear. + The eyewear frame and lenses have been tested to the High Velocity and High Mass Impact requirements of ANSI Z87.1+ Safety Standard. S The lens is a filter or a shaded lens (not clear). V The lens is variable-tint photochromic (light adjusting).

CLICK AIR GASKETS Click Air Gaskets are designed to shield your eyes from harmful debris, while allowing you the freedom to customize airflow through the gasket to clear fogging. The Click Air Gasket creates resistance against fine dirt particles. Push down on the top of the gasket above the nose bridge to open and increase airflow. Click again and lock it down.

DYNAMIC VENTILATION Our Dynamic Ventilation system works with the Removable Facial Cavity seals, allowing you to control airflow and reduce fogging. Side vents open to allow air to flow in and behind lenses to clear condensation. Close the side vents to stop airflow.

REMOVABLE FACIAL CAVITY SEALS Fine dust and pollen, as well as wind, can cause long-term eye irritation, such as Dry Eye Syndrome. Peripheral light can also diminish optical clarity. Wiley X’s removable soft foam Facial Cavity™ Seals block out even the finest irritants and peripheral light, protecting the eyes and allowing polarized lenses to perform at peak levels.

VISUALIZING THE LIGHT SPECTRUM Even though the human eye cannot see the entire light spectrum, certain areas are difficult for the eyes to see clearly, while other areas are very dangerous to your eyes’ health. CAPTIVATE lenses filter out harmful rays as well as light that confuses the eye, increasing clarity and definition with vibrant contrast and vivid detail. The visible light spectrum runs in a range of wavelengths from ultraviolet to infrared and is measured in nanometers. A typical human eye will respond to wavelengths from about 380 to 740 nanometers. CAPTIVATE lenses filter out eye-confusing light to make the color spectrum clearer. The result is increased contrast and greater clarity.

BENEFITS OF CAPTIVATE ™ LENSES ENHANCED COLOR

BETTER DEPTH PERCEPTION

CAPTIVATE filters out confusing light where blues and greens merge and greens and reds merge. The lightwaves CAPTIVATE lenses don't filter are easier for your eyes to see, resulting in vivid blues, greens and reds for a true color experience.

By eliminating the blue light haze while separating and enhancing colors in the visual spectrum, CAPTIVATE lenses enhance depth perception.

GREATER CLARITY Blue light with shorter wavelengths and higher frequencies scatter light and create haze. By filtering out this “bad” blue light, CAPTIVATE lenses remove the haze and allows distant objects to be seen more clearly.

CAPTIVATE lenses allow the beneficial side of blue light to be seen. This helps maintain the body’s Circadian biological clock and the sleep/wake cycle. This beneficial blue light also boosts alertness, helps memory and elevates mood.

Wiley X utilizes a proprietary oleophobic and hydrophobic coatings on all CAPTIVATE lenses to create a smoother lens surface, which helps to keep dust, dirt, oil, snow and water from sticking to the lens. This in turn helps prevent smudging and water spots, making the lenses much easier to clean than an uncoated, standard lens.

PRODUCT WARRANTY NON-PRESCRIPTION WILEY X, INC. EYEWEAR has a limited lifetime warranty covering any and all manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. YOUTH FORCE ® AND WORKSIGHT ® EYEWEAR is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 2 years. NON-PRESCRIPTION JOHN DEERE ® AND DVX™ EYEWEAR is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 1 year. (John Deere® warranty applies to USA and Canada only). PHOTOCHROMIC LIGHT ADJUSTING™ LENSES are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 18 months (proof of purchase for Photochromic Light Adjusting™ lenses is required). GLOVES are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for a maximum period of 2 years. SCOPE OF COVERAGE: Wiley X will repair or replace covered items at the sole discretion of Wiley X, as needed and as available (identical or equivalent style) at no charge. Out of warranty items may be repaired (if repairable), replaced, returned, or destroyed, at the option and sole expense of the purchaser. EXCLUSIONS: This product warranty and prescription warranty below does NOT extend to and excludes: a) any and all Wiley X products purchased through any non-authorized 3rd party websites, dealers or labs b) damage resulting from normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratched lenses and broken frames, hinges, and nose pieces c) damage resulting from abuse or misuse d) damage resulting from tampering or customer modification e) damage resulting from exposure to harmful substances, elements or conditions f ) other damage to covered items not resulting from a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship as Wiley X shall decide in its sole discretion g) lost or stolen items

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES Returns and exchanges will not be accepted without receiving prior authorization to include an assigned return authorization number. For every one item returned, at least one item must be purchased. Returns must be in resalable condition, as determined by Wiley X for product not discontinued longer than six months. All returns must be shipped prepaid from point of origin, unless prior arrangements have been made. No COD returns accepted. New orders resulting from exchanges will be shipped upon receipt of returned merchandise unless other arrangements have been made with Wiley X. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges, both inbound and outbound. Returns should be sent to the attention of the RETURN DEPARTMENT.
