So who’s who on the crew for 2015? Owen Middleton – Race Director The Boss. Trail running, sailing, mountaineering, adventure racing, orienteering, surfing, paddling, kloofing, rock climbing, fly fishing, scuba diving, mountain biking and many many other adventure sports are the life-blood of what makes Owen tick. If you don’t already know Owen, you’ll normally find him somewhere in the mountains with his loyal companion Shadow, dreaming up new events in more amazing places. Trail running is his passion and lifestyle and bringing it to everyone else is his mission.
Tamaryn Middleton (Tam) – Event Manager The Real Boss. If you don’t know Tam by now, you haven’t entered the event! She is the backbone of the Wildrun™ and will put a smile on your face any time of the day. Although born in SA, Tam spent her formative years in the UK and then Belgium for most of her schooling years. Her passion is people, with a healthy dose of scuba diving, trail running and general adventure-seeking thrown in! Anything you need during the run, Tam will sort it out.
Chris Goodwin – Hospitality Manager Mr Hospitality. Chris sets the bar in travelling with style and class, running active tours throughout Africa and in far flung parts of the world for big international travel companies via his company Active Africa. A better host – and downright nice guy you cannot find. Ask Chris about his passion for mountaineering, and in particular, spooning on a very tight ledge… ©Wildrunner 2015

Catharina Robbertze – Media After travelling the world working on cycling tours, Catharina was lured back to SA and running by Wildrunner and her memories of the Lesotho Wildrun™ 2011. With a background in media, she’ll be tweeting, Facebooking, blogging and PR-ing about every step you take in the Wild Coast.
Dave & Glenda Jupp – Communications Manager Tam’s folks - Dave and Glenda have spent a lifetime together, travelling the world and taking it as it comes. Having lived in Texas, Greece, France, England and Belgium, they came back to settle at home in the Cape, where they now try to take as much time off as possible! When they aren’t working, they spend their time running their unofficial mini-crèche for the new generation of mini-me’s!
Angus Spence – Radio Communications One of the Eastern Capies on the Wildrun™ crew, Angus will be working with Dave to make sure we have radio communications along the length of the route. Angus is a Premier League hockey player, and has grown up 4x4’ing in his back yard – the Wild Coast. Most importantly he drives the best 4x4xfar.
Eugene & Celeste Muller – Medical Team The body mechanics. Eugene and Celeste own and run a specialist events medical business in Port Elizabeth called ‘Eastern Cape Medical Response’, along with partner in crime Conrad Seymour. Don’t be shy to ask these guys for help! 6
©Wildrunner 2015
Roland van der Merwe – Journey Sweep ‘I don’t need a whistle, I’ve got teeth!’ If you haven’t heard Roland yet, you haven’t been listening! Roland describes himself as a ‘trail junkie and loud mouth’, with a good sense of humour and absolute love for the outdoors … which in our estimation is just about right! If Roland wasn’t the sweep, he’d be keeping the sweep company and loving every minute of it. Ask Roland about his Lesotho Wildrun™ 2011 experience…
Genevieve, Chris & Helena – The massage therapy team The ‘No-Pain, No-Gain’ team… Yup, chances are you will end up on one of their tables at some stage! These guys will work out all those niggles and make you feel ready for the next day. Genevieve and her team are formidable and have worked on many other multiday trail running events.
Holly Ramsey – Registration and Timing Wildrunner’s very own American import. Grew up in Arizona and studied Marketing at Roosevelt University in Chicago before she moved to Cape Town, her new favourite place in the world. Holly began trail running in 2011 before finally ending up planning them. Holly loves her wine and a good laugh!
James Bosenberg – Course Manager While James has studied the intricacies of economics at UCT, his heart has always been in sports. After a decade of cricketing, James has discovered an unmatched passion for trail running and all its rawness. When he's not busy organising an event, you will find this man playing in the mountains of the Western Cape. ©Wildrunner 2015

Jason Sharrock – Non-stop support crew Jason is an outdoors/adrenalin junkie that suffers from ADHD. He’s at his happiest when he is on his mountain bike, running in a forest or out catching a wave with some mates. He has recently started his own events company that hosts extreme sports in the Eastern Cape.
Dave van der Byl – Non-stop support crew Dave runs his own instant lawn business called ‘Green Buffalo’ by day. Sh*t hot body boarder, Springbok horse rider, gifted mountain biker and now converted trail runner, Dave spends his pleasure time seeking thrills outdoors.

With this comes a wealth of trail and mountain running event management experience that is unmatched in Africa. Wildrunner events attract a wide spread of runners, from the very best South African trail runners to the adventure runners out to experience the ultimate journey through wild places. Wildrunner events attract runners from all over the world.
