Carrie’s Cudline Hello Holstein Enthusiast, Wow, has this summer flown by! I have enjoyed seeing and talking with many of you at the various district shows I attended. I also got the pleasure to attend the Immel Insurance and Financial Services Holstein Futurity at the Fond du Lac County Fair, where I got the to judge the best dressed contest as I watched many beautiful cows parade around the ring. More recently I enjoyed showing with the junior members at the Wisconsin Junior State Fair, as well as competing in the Big Bale Roll 38–wisconsin HOLSTEIN news/September 2011

and the Tug-of-War Contest. A great time was seemed to had by all! Breinne and I also helped out with the State Holstein Futurity. Although it was raining outside it didn’t put a damper on the intensity of the show or keep people from dressing up for the formal event. I have greatly enjoyed my reign as 2011 WHA Princess Attendant. I would like to take this time to encourage anyone who is even slightly interested to apply for Holstein Royalty. Over the course of the year I have been able to travel to many shows and see a lot of tremendous cattle. Not to mention that as a member of Holstein Royalty you get the benefit of having the best seat in the house! There are also many other perks that come with the job, you get to meet a lot of important people in the Holstein Industry and establish contacts that may help you in your future. See you at World Dairy Expo! Carrie Warmka, Wisconsin Holstein Princess Attendant
