The Outagamie County Holstein Breeders will be holding their annual Outagamie Spring Sale on May 20 at 7:30 p.m. Other activities held during the year include the Annual Banquet in December where they give Production, Breeder and Service Awards and the Spring Farm Tour. There will also be a Holstein Futurity in the open class show at the Outagamie County Fair.

Junior Association officers - President: Matt Olson; Secretary: Claire Olson; Treasurer: Alex Kruswick. The Door County Holstein Breeders continue to be very active in Holstein activities. Already this year, we had great representation at the Junior Holstein Convention with many award winners. The Door County Juniors are full of enthusiasm and interest. In March of 2011 Door County took our annual spring tour to Shawano County. We visited Synergy Dairy Farm, Go-Make Holsteins, and Horsens Dairy Farm. The tour was enjoyed by all, and we would like to extend our thanks to these breeders for hosting us. We are looking forward to summer activities highlighted by our Door County Twilight meeting. This year’s host is Bryersquart Holsteins and the meeting is planned for August 20. We hope you can join us.

Waupaca/Waushara Counties will be hosting the 2012 State Holstein convention in Waupaca, this coming February. Our annual county sale was held on March 19 with an average just over $1700. Three $1000 grants were given to county youth to assist them in the purchase of a Registered holstein show calf at the sale. Our annual Holstein picnic was held at Gateway Acres and hosted by Bob and Sherry Gates. A silent auction was held with over $1100 raised for our county junior association and we had WHA President Jim Rickert as a guest speaker. Waushara county will also be hosting the 2011 Alice in Dairyland finals in May.
