SALT Activities at 1990 AALS Conference SALT will sponsor the following activities at the AALS Conference in San Francisco. Thurs., Jan. 4, 1990, 4-6 pm: "Lessons our Students Teach us about Diversity: Berkeley's Coalition for Diversified Faculty" Panel Discussion featuring SALT President Charles Lawrence, SALT Governors Kim Crenshaw and Patricia Williams, and student members of the Berkeley Coalition for Diversified Faculty. SALT Elections

SALT extends its thanks to outgoing President Chuck Lawrence for his leadership over the last two years, and it welcomes incoming President Howard Glickstein and new SALT Historian Joyce Satalamachia. SALT has recently completed balloting to fill other vacancies on its Board of Governors, and the new and returning members of the Board will be welcomed at the Board's January 1990 meeting at the A.A.L.S. convention. The results of the balloting were not available for this advance printing, but they will be published, along with a new masthead, in a second printing of this January edition, which will be mailed to all SALT members in late January.
