MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE

Wide Eyed Pupils team up with specific NGOs in each country where we run trips. The NGOs specialise in community service work and ensure help is going to the right people, benefiting the environment and/or wildlife. We then establish ongoing relationships with these communities before and after each school group comes to assist. Help with some light building, repair & paint schools or kindergartens, plant a vegetable garden, install a shade sail and/or teach the local students some English, Music or IT skills. Contribute directly or indirectly through donations.

VIETNAM-AMERICAN WAR HISTORY TOURS

Vietnam has a lot of history, starting with over 1000 years’ civilization in Hanoi alone, not to mention the former imperial capital Hue. Many people associate the country with war history and proud of their incredible victory, the Vietnamese Government has gone to great lengths to preserve their unique war history. You’ll find many museums, fascinating stories and moving tributes in every city you visit. We can organise multi-day trips focusing on the length and breadth of the American War and also the earlier wars with the Chinese, Japanese and French. ANZAC tours are also popular and with our company’s owner being from Australia and the WEP Manager from New Zealand, WET understands ANZAC culture.

ETHNIC MINORITY CULTURE TOURS

Vietnam is home to over 50 different Ethnic Minority Groups. Each group has its own language, lifestyle and cultural heritage making their villages, cultures, beliefs and history a fascinating space to explore. You may consider a homestay for your students or if a homestay is not suitable for your group, consider a visit to the Ethnology Museum in Hanoi, where the 54 groups are highlighted and 5 authentic traditional houses are on display in the grounds outside the museum. There is also an interesting water puppet show and the students can have a go using the puppets after the show is over.

ANCIENT CULTURES TOURS

Action can range from a countryside bike ride, swimming in waterfalls and at hotels. paddle a kayak or Vietnamese basket boat, take a hike through the jungle or across rice terraces, climb through some tunnelsorabseilandsnorkel.
