Speaker Profiles Dr Ashley Bates Head of R&D Alliances Australia/NZ, GlaxoSmithKline Ashley graduated with a PhD from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland and has been working in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 20 years. During this time he has held positions in the UK, USA and Australia. In his current role he is responsible for the ongoing management and future development of GlaxoSmithKline’s collaborative research efforts in Australia and New Zealand which include over 30 projects with research institutions and biotechnology companies across the country.
Glenn Cross Chief Operating Officer, AusBiotech Glenn is the Chief Operating Officer of AusBiotech and is responsible for business development, finance and general operations. With 30 years’ experience in general management, Glenn has experience in finance, human resources and product development with extensive experience in product development and distribution networks both locally and internationally. He has extensive experience in key/large corporate account management and business development in Australia, Asia, Japan, Europe and North America.
