Hello!

My name is Morag. I live in Falkirk with my husband, Martin. Both of my children have left home, and I have 2 grandchildren, Adam, and Bethany, who I love.

I like getting out and about, especially near home, where we are lucky to have The Kelpies (two big horse sculptures), The Falkirk Wheel, and Carron Nature Reserve nearby. I love to read, especially crime novels. I love music and will sing and dance along to almost anything, but my passion is musical theatre and I go to see the big shows when they come to Edinburgh or Glasgow. Before joining Who Cares? Scotland, I worked as a family support worker for 24 years. I joined the WC?S family 4 years ago this month. I don’t look on it as a job, but as being part of a wonderful family. it is the best job I have ever had. I meet with new children and young people a lot, but some I have known for a wee while now. My job is to make sure they all feel listened to. I will help you understand your rights and make sure they are being met. Working in two different areas, I know how different the support young people get can be. As an advocate, I can help make things fairer. You should be able to get the same help, no matter where you live in Scotland. In Clackmannanshire we had a fantastic summer programme, where some of you took part in laser tag, trampolining, going to Edinburgh Zoo and Go Ape. It was great watching you fly across that huge zipline! Even though my heart was in my mouth. In West Lothian, we now have more advocates, which means there are more of us to help you and we look forward to hearing from you.
