Pickleball instructional classes for beginners. Includes basic fundamentals, on-court etiquette, rules of the game as well as in-game strategies. Lessons taught by a certified BC Pickleball instructor. Bring your own pickleball paddle.

Tennis Lessons

Players develop basic ball control skills and learn the fundamentals of ground strokes, volleys and serves. Rules and scoring are also covered. Bring your own racquet. Balls will be provided.

Average 4 hours of hiking. Elevation gain will generally be less than 400m.

Lightning Lakes Chain Trail, Manning Park Hike at Lightening Lakes in Manning Park. A popular trail located in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, Lightening Lakes is the crown jewel of Manning Provincial Park. Although lacking in elevation gain, the trail is long and has some wonderful views of the lakes and surrounding mountains. Bring your swimwear if you dare to dip into the cool waters after a long hike.

Soccer Outdoor Co-Ed

Enjoy an evening of adult co-ed recreational soccer. Meet new friends, get some exercise, and have fun. No experience necessary. Shin guards and cleats recommended. $6 drop-in. Oval - Centennial Park

Cycling White Rock O-50 Club

A non-competitive and recreational White Rock O-50 cycling club. Meet up with other cyclists for weekly Sunday rides and special out-trips. Call 604541-2199 to register and for ride information.

Lighthouse Park Viewpoint Loop, West Vancouver Lighthouse Park is well known for the historical Point Atkinson Lighthouse, as well as numerous other excellent viewpoints along the shoreline of the park. Trails along this route vary considerably, with terrain ranging from gravel paths to rougher trails leading to the viewpoints. Bring a cushion to sit on as we enjoy our bag lunch overlooking the ocean.

Killarney Lake Loop, Bowen Island

We will travel to Horseshoe Bay and take a 20-minute scenic cruise aboard BC Ferries to beautiful Bowen Island to hike through the ecological reserve. The trail has many hills as well as a forest of trees to enjoy the shade on a warm summer’s day. You can purchase a scoop of ice cream at Snug Cove before boarding the ferry back home. BC Ferries fare NOT included in course fee (BC residents over the age of 65 with valid ID travel free on BC Ferries Mon-Thurs).

Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve & The Vedder Rotary Trail, Chilliwack

Connect with Nature at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, then walk the gravel Vedder Rotary Trail alongside the Vedder River. After a nice day hiking in the sunshine, you can purchase some oldfashioned gourmet ice cream at Birchwood Dairy Farm.

Brohm Lake Interpretive Forest, Squamish

Always a White Rock Hiker favourite, this trail loops around the entirety of Brohm Lake with beautiful scenic views. The trail does have its share of elevation and distance so be sure to eat a hearty breakfast. You can purchase a scoop or two of gelato at 2 Chill Gelato in Squamish before returning home.

Lindeman Lake, Chilliwack

Located in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park, Lindemann Lake is a beauty like no other. With rocks, roots and steep sections, you’ll be rewarded on top as you enjoy this beautiful lake and surrounding mountains. We will stop at Banter Ice Cream on the return trip where you can purchase some small batch local ice cream.

PACE 2 Day Hikes

4 to 5 hours hiking at a faster pace; up to 20km, elevation gain up to 800m.

Heather Trail

Heather Trail is one of BC’s premier hiking treks. During this hike, we will celebrate any and all summer birthdays by having cake at the summit. The hard work will be rewarded by sweeping mountain views and vibrant wildflower meadows. We will end by stopping at Blue Moose Cafe in Hope where you can buy a delicious baked treat.

Dragon’s

Back, Hope

Dragon’s Back - Opened in the Spring of 2021, this hike will add over 10,000 to your daily step count. Some steep sections and two rope sections make this a challenging hike, however, you will be rewarded with a series of three viewpoints overlooking Hope, Silver Creek, and the Fraser River. After a long hike in the mountains, we will stop at Chilliwack Airport Restaurant where you can purchase a slice of freshly baked pie.

Mount Gardner, Bowen Island*

We will take BC Ferries (*fare not included in course fee) to scenic Bowen Island leaving the hectic city life behind. The viewpoint with two large platforms is your reward for the hard work you have done. We will then stop at Snug Cove where you can purchase an ice cream treat.

Flatiron Peak, Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area

This hike is initially a steep, uneven climb through the forest, but it breaks off to a boulder field with 360 degree mountain views and then into a waving grassy trail. Eventually, the trail arrives at two small lakes where there is a stunning view of the mountain. The water is clear and glassy like a mirror. Bring your swimwear in case you decide to take a quick dip after taking in the million-dollar views.
