This stunning landscape with its rich farmland and promising seaport, lured the earliest American pioneers to Ebey’s Landing. Today, Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve preserves the historical, agricultural and cultural traditions of both native and Euro-America – while offering spectacular opportunities for recreation. The Reserve is over 80% privately owned, contains three Washington State Parks, and the historic town of Coupeville. nps.gov/ebla/
Fort Casey and Lighthouse Fort Casey Historical State Park, constructed in the late 1890s as part of a three-fort defense system to protect Puget Sound, it is home to the Admiralty Head Lighthouse, WWII history, and sweeping views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Nearby Fort Ebey was built as part of a World War II defense network. Today it is also home to extensive hiking and biking trails.

Adjacent Crockett Lake attracts an extraordinary number of shorebirds and is one of the most productive birding areas in the Puget Sound lowland. It is also becoming a popular kite kite boarding site.
