The Call of the Future: 2021 Gratitude Report

Acknowledging Our Board & Staff Team Board member Casey Dilloway exemplified skilled and responsive partnership in his Treasurer and Legal roles as we navigated the financial maze of the federal Paycheck Protection Program, a disaster relief loan, and other supports to allow us to operate at a reduced but sustainable level through interruptions, furloughs, and a return to work.

Board member Dani Turk engaged with our equity work, helping evolve us toward a staff training, support, and development plan for 2022. Board member Tucker Stevens coordinated construction of the Commons, and board members Cole Hoover, Kate Snider, and Hilary Wilson re-engaged after completing their original board terms to ensure continuity of leadership through a disrupted time. Altogether, our board volunteered 385 hours of service to this organization and mission in 2021!

Our staff team rocked their work, despite the many adaptations required by the ongoing pandemic. We are grateful to Thomas Arthur in Place and Hosting; Sommer Bowlin, Rose Shirley, Yadi Narvaez-Martinez, and Nick Jackman in Housekeeping; Cathy Buller in Database, Business Operations, and Donor Care; Madisun Clark-Stern in Office Management and Technology; Holly Harlan in Fundraising and Land Engagement; Lety Hopper in Contracts Administration; Timothy Hull and Erik Isaacson in Land Care; Marnie Jackson in Communications and General Administration; Heather Johnson in Program Development and Finance; Beno Kennedy in Facilities and Land Care; Jules LeDrew in Westgarden Stewardship; and Marta Mulholland in Volunteers and People Operations. Chef Christyn Johnson and the Pure Indulgence team continue to nurture and delight program participants with amazing meals.
