Any charge under subsection (1) of this section may be im­ posed on the land as a whole or may be apportioned between different parts of the land, as the Court thinks fit, having regard to the relative values of those parts and to the relative benefits derived from the survey. On or after any partition, exchange, alienation, or other dis­ position of the land so charged, the Court may in like manner make a further order varying any former order and apportion­ ing the charge in such manner as it thinks just, and any such subsequent order shall supersede all earlier charging orders so far as it is inconsistent with those earlier orders. Every charging order under this section shall constitute a charge upon the land or upon the several parcels of the land, according to its tenor, and may be registered against the title to the land under the Land Transfer Act 1952. When any charge has been apportioned under this section, each part of that charge shall be deemed to constitute a sep­ arate charge. Compare: 1953 No 94 s 408

Interest on survey charges Except as provided in section 336 of this Act, the amount of any charge under this Part of this Act shall bear simple interest at the rate of 5 percent per annum, computed from the date of the completion of the survey. A certificate signed by the Chief Surveyor shall be conclusive evidence of the date of the completion of the survey. Compare: 1953 No 94 s 409

Power of Minister of Lands to remit survey charges The Minister of Lands may at any time, if he or she thinks fit, direct the remission and discharge, in whole or in part, of any charge imposed in favour of the Crown, whether before or after the commencement of this Act, in respect of the survey of any Maori land. A certificate signed by the Chief Surveyor of the district in which the land affected is situated and to the effect that the Minister of Lands has directed the remission or discharge of
