Welcome to “Stay Active”! Our newsletter is tailored specifically for adults 55+ who want to live life to the fullest by staying physically, mentally, and socially engaged. Each issue is packed with information about programs, activities and events that will help you maintain an active lifestyle.

Wheeling Township offers bus service for Wheeling Township residents Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Call 847-259-7743 between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:30 pm to schedule transportation. Reservations should be made two days before the travel date.

Attendees will have the opportunity to adopt a new best friend from Heartland Animal Shelter! Heartland’s mission is to provide care, humane treatment and adoption for dogs and cats in need. Learn Pickleball basics in 2-hour clinics for beginners. Covers stroke mechanics, serving, dinking, driving, rules, and strategies. By the end of the session, players will have the confidence to participate in drop-in pickleball programs.

BEGINNER PICKLEBALL LESSONS

New to pickleball? Gain confidence with our weekly 1.5-hour beginner class. Learn grips, stances, shots, rules, and court positioning. Certified instructors offer personalized guidance in a fun, social setting. Start your pickleball journey confidently.

ADVANCED BEGINNER PICKLEBALL LESSONS

For advancing beginners: enhance pickleball skills through drills focusing on shot consistency, serving, volleying, and strategy. Learn to play smarter, not harder, with emphasis on softer gameplay. Equipment provided; full session commitment required.

INTERMEDIATE PICKLEBALL LESSONS

Location: CRC

Intermediate-level Pickleball class for players with at least one year of experience. Focus on technique, consistency, and advanced gameplay. Approval required to continue after first class; emphasizes correct placement for positive experience.

Escape to a tropical paradise at our Summer Fling Luau! Join us for a night of Hawaiian flair with a vibrant show by the Hokulea Academy of Polynesian Arts as we transform the Performance Pavilion into an exotic oasis.
