● CCSD21 will continue to hire substitutes this summer, so please let your neighbors and friends know that we are hiring year-round!

● We still have openings in our sub pool for several positions: Secretary ($100/day), Health Assistant ($100/day), Teaching Assistant ($125/day), Teacher ($137/day), Long-Term Teacher (more than 10 days in the same classroom – $220/day)
● Any subs who work 100 days next year will receive a $1,000 bonus at the end of the year!
● CCSD21 names four to administrative roles
● Middle school principals to now follow 12-month working calendar: Given the increasing scope and professional demands of the middle school principal role, CCSD21 will now establish a 260-day, or 12-month, working calendar for all middle school principals, effective July 1

BUSINESS OFFICE UPDATES
● Community Consolidated School District 21 will convene a district-wide transportation committee to examine hazardous bus routes and congestion issues. More information will be provided as the 2023-24 school year gets underway. For more, click here.

● You may have noticed that our July newsletter looks a little different. We have redesigned the look and feel of this publication to be more user-friendly and easier to read. Each CCSD21 department will still have its own section with a table of contents that will link to the full story on the website and, more importantly, the entire issue will be formatted to read like a magazine! ● The National School Public Relations Association recognized CCSD21 and its communications department among the top national communicators for 2023! The district was recognized for all five entries it submitted, including an Award of Excellence – the top honor – in the Publications and Digital Media category for the 2021-2022 IMPACT Report. Honorable mentions were received for the My Why and Rising Stars social media campaigns, as well as for the in-house video productions of Riley’s Life Skills Program and Twain’s White Cane Day CCSD21 will be recognized on NSPRA’s website and during its national seminar from July 16-19 in St Louis
