school for the past four years. I will graduate this June with a certification in Jewish Liturgical music. For the past 18 months I have been working as a cantorial soloist at the reform temple in RI. All is wonderful!”

Melissa Sherman Leach has two daughters at Wheeler, Samantha in eleventh grade, and Ari in sixth grade. Dan Wood writes, “Our daughter Ayah Helen Andraos Wood was born on April 27th and Amale and I are enjoying first-parenthood in NYC. On the architecture side - just in time for Ayah’s arrival - we are restarting the design of a new Children’s Museum in Manhattan, creating an “Edible Schoolyard” with food activist Alice Waters at a public school in Brooklyn and finishing the drawings for a new public library branch in Queens!”

Kathleen Fallon writes, “‘It’s been a while since I’ve had much contact with Wheeler folk, so pardon any repeat information. I lived in Gainesville, FL, for about 14 years until 2008 when I moved to Rochester, NY, where I teaching in the Counselor Education department at The College at Brockport. I’ve been in the counseling profession for about 15 years, first as a clinician then as a professor. My partner, Elaine, and I married about 10 years ago, and she’s getting her Ph.D. in counselor education as well. John Wood (Lemieux) was in our wedding.

All our kids have fur and walk on all fours - 2 cats and a dog. Instead, we’ve been busy caretaking parents. I hope classmates are well and enjoying their early 40’s! Take care...and if you want to be in touch, email me at kittyfallon@ gmail.com.”

Lynne Michael Diamante is currently Mrs. Rhode Island USA and represents the state in the Mrs. United States Pageant in Las Vegas in July. She is a lawyerexecutive and her daughter, Giulia, will be a second grader at Wheeler this fall.

Danielle Morissette Foley writes, “My family and I moved to Shanghai, China this January for a 2-3 year assignment with my husband’s employer, Campbell Soup Company. The company is trying to launch the Campbell Soup brand here in China, and Chris is in charge of the marketing effort. So far we are having quite an adventure! The kids (Allison, 6 and Liam, 4) are going to an incredible school (Shanghai Community International School) which actually reminds me a bit of Wheeler. They’ve fallen right into place and are having fun meeting people from all over the world. The expat community here is very large--about 50,000 expats living and working here--so it’s been pretty easy for me to meet other people, too. We are really enjoying learning about this vastly different culture and exploring Shanghai. It’s an amazing Now & Then @ Wheeler

city of 20 million people. The shopping is tremendous, too! We are looking forward to exploring Asia while we’re here and recently came back from a trip to Phuket, Thailand where we did some elephant trekking. I hope all is well in Rhode Island. We will be spending about 5 weeks in RI this summer with my parents who recently relocated to Narragansett. If there are any events in July and early August, I will hopefully be able to attend.”
