CHILDREN OF THE UNDERGROUND NEW SERIES!
In the late 1980s, Faye Yager saw that the family court system was failing to protect children from abuse by their legal guardians. Putting lives ahead of the law, Yager helped start a secret network to hide victims from an abusive parent or partner. The organization, which became known as Children of the Underground, effectively relocated victims and aided them in changing their identities. As Yager’s vigilantism became publicized, the FBI took note and began investigating the group’s work. Yager was also the target of numerous lawsuits, most notably from banking pioneer Bipin Shah, who offered a $2 million reward to anyone who could track down his ex-wife and two daughters. FX’s five-part docuseries Children of the Underground looks back at Yager’s network to unravel its complicated history and the dark side of a group that circumvented the law to protect the vulnerable. All five episodes premiere back-to-back on Aug. 12. Premieres on FX Friday, Aug. 12
