Modern Elegance

Home furnishing designers are returning to the glamorous allure of sheen, which has been out of fashion, but fringes are sleek now, not frou-frou. Fibers may be silk, acetate or rayon, long or short fringes or even used as full-length drapery. Clockwise from top left: The Petit Salon by Sawyer | Berson for the 2016 Kips Bay Decorator Show House featured an armless sofa with a long skirt fringe.
