Weyburn Beavers infielder Caelen Dalman safely slid into second base, as the second baseman for the Sylvan Lake Gulls tried unsuccessfully to snag the ball. The play was part of the Beavers home game on Friday evening, when they were edged out 8-7 by the visitors, and then were trounced 16-0 on Saturday evening before heading to Regina to win by a score of 4-3 on Sunday.

practicing golf in Phys. Ed classes for the last couple of weeks and really enjoyed it, so teacher Kevin Butz decided to organize the tournament, with the holes set up on the playground. The Grades 1-2 golfed on June 13 with 46 golfers; Grade 3-4 golfed on June 14 with 36 golfers,

and Grades 5-6 golfed on June 15 with 37 golfers. A few extra students joined up along the way to bring the total to 126 golfers. Prizes were donated by the Weyburn Golf and Country Club, Estevan Woodlawn Golf and Country Club and Canadian Tire. A golf bag and clubs came from Can-

adian Tire, golf shirts and range passes were from the Weyburn GCC, and a hat, head cover and golf balls were from Estevan. Butz made the draws for the prizes on Wednesday and were announced at the morning assembly on Monday. Lexi Hillstead was the winner of the golf bag and clubs.
