Scott Hunter, PGA Director of Golf: Born and raised in Roanoke, VA, Scott attended George Mason University where he was one of the top collegiate golfers. After college, Scott tested his game professionally, making it through stage one of PGA Tour “Q” school Scott has won the Assistant Championship, Professionals Championship, Hilton Head Open and Match Play Championship, all in 2005, earning recognition as one of the most “elite” golfers in the LowCountry. He was the First Assistant Golf Professional at Overbrook Country Club in Philadelphia, and Moss Creek Plantation in Hilton Head Scott joined Wexford in 2011 and is responsible for all aspects of golf operations.
Bobby Blanken, PGA 1st Assistant Golf Professional: Bobby is a new PGA member, elected in July of 2021. Bobby left Wexford after 5 years, to pursue other opportunities in the area at Secession Golf Club, but recently rejoined the Wexford family He attended the Professional Golfer’s Career College in Bluffton, SC to establish a start in the golf industry. Bobby enjoys teaching all players of the game and helping with oversight of tournament and golf shop operations. He has also worked at Hampton Hall Club in Bluffton, SC, and Hershey’s Mill Golf Club in West Chester, PA

Derek Hobart Assistant Golf Professional: Born and raised in the Traverse City, Mi area, Derek began his golf career at Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club in High School, working there for 10 years progressing to an Assistant Golf Professional. Since Arcadia Bluffs is a seasonal facility, he would go south during the cold winter months Derek moved to Arizona for 2 years, and began his private club experience working at Desert Mountain and The Estancia Club. Derek joined the Wexford team in 2018 working as Outsides Services, and made his way up the Assistant Golf Professional and Merchandiser. Derek Loves the Merchandising side as well as enjoying teaching He is currently working toward being a member of the PGA with a main focus in Merchandising.
Hunter Miller Assistant Golf Professional: Hunter recently joined us from Southbridge Golf Club outside of Savannah, Georgia. Originally from Chillicothe, Ohio, Hunter graduated from Baldwin Wallace and then moved south to attend the Professional Golfer’s Career College in Bluffton. He has also worked at Crescent Point Golf Club and Berkeley Hall Club. Hunter is currently enrolled as a PGA Level 3 associate, working towards his Class A PGA Membership
