WETSTYLE SHOWROOM Opened since 2005 and located in an historic building in the heart of Old Montreal, WETSTYLE’s corporate showroom is a design-focused space where professionals can explore the wide span of WETSTYLE’s bathroom fixture collections. FACTORY Approximately 30 km from Montreal, set in the riverside town of Beloeil, is WETSTYLE’s WETMAR BiO™ factory, where every bathtub, sink and shower receptor is made to order by hand. The WETSTYLE furniture factory is situated in Montreal’s Rosemont borough and employs skilled wood furniture craftsmen. NEW HEADQUARTERS AND FACTORY - OPENING FALL 2018 Opening in the fall of 2018, the new WETSTYLE headquarters will be located on the South Shore of Montreal, in the environment-friendly Ecoparc of Saint-Bruno. The state-of-the art facility will feature an expanded production capacity, new corporate offices, an extensive showroom space and a dedicated product training area for agents, sales representatives and design professionals.

CRAFTSMANSHIP Bold design, superior materials and a unique manufacturing process distinguishes WETSTYLE. Reminiscent of European workshops of a long-gone era, each product is made-to-order in Montreal, Canada, and every design is an original artisanal labor of love benefiting from meticulous attention to detail.

THE SIGNATURE WETSTYLE WOOD BRIDGE: BEFORE AND AFTER The wood bridge provided with most WETSTYLE bathtubs and certain lavatories starts off as a rough piece of oak or walnut hardwood. First, it is cut to size and the grooves are machined. It then undergoes several steps of sanding, the last one done by hand to ensure a flawless surface. Finally, the bridge is stained to the desired color - if applicable - and treated with several coats of marine-grade sealant.

Joël DUPRAS Furniture designer Born in 1980
Collections: Tulip, Déco, M and FRAME Joël Dupras studied graphic design before joining Visu, a family business manufacturer of up-market furniture. He designs furniture lines for the bedroom, the dining room and the living room. He also developed a comprehensive expertise in designing home modular storage elements. His furniture collections are sold in over 200 stores in North America. In 2008, Joël Dupras founded the firm Joël Dupras Designer (JDD) and created Como, a complete array of bedroom furniture for lifestyle hotels manufactured by Foliot Furniture. Como is an all-in-one ensemble comprised of a secretary, a mini bar, an audio-video entertainment center and a bed with an interchangeable headboard. It generated strong interest at the professional Hospitality Design show in Las Vegas. Joël Dupras is wholly focused on simple shapes, balanced proportions and functionality. His minimalist approach—far from being cold— provides visual and tactile pleasures.

President of the Association of Canadian Industrial Designers from 2008 to 2010, Patrick Messier started his career at Michel Dallaire Designers. From 1996 to 2002, he contributed to various projects involving medical equipment, aircraft interiors, furniture, electronic materials and utilitarian objects. In 1999, he founded Messier Designers and in 2002 he expanded his activities to include product development strategy and graphic communication. Since 2003, he has participated in numerous fairs and shows in Canada and abroad—New York, Washington, Tokyo, London and Paris, among others. He was also awarded several prizes, including the Gold Award of the 2004 Toronto IIDEX/Neocon for Kingsey, an innovative urban bench produced by Plastiques Cascades, and the 2006 Best of Canada for Mamma, a rocking chair whose sensuous curves conquered the international press, including the austere Wall Street Journal. It should be noted that these two creations are part of the permanent collection of Musée National des beaux-arts du Québec. Patrick Messier’s approach focuses on what he calls “controlling the pheromones of aesthetics”, i.e. creating objects with an allure so powerful as to trigger an irrepressible desire to possess them.
For more than 30 years, Pierre Bélanger has been a guiding light of contemporary design for architects, designers and manufacturers who have gravitated to his innovative style of graphic simplicity and relevance. Backed by strong analytical skills and insatiable curiosity, Pierre has been infusing his experience into the unique designs of WETSTYLE since 2005 and for the past two years as one of the company's lead product designers, incorporating the latest design technologies and trends into a portfolio of truly innovative products. After earning a diploma in architectural technology in 1989, Pierre began his career with Daoust Lestage, a prestigious architecture and urban design firm where he served as project manager and art director. In 1998, he founded L'Atelier Image-In before merging with Juliette Communication in 2005 to form volume2, where he has applied his design skills to the production of more than thirty corporate brand images for design and architectural firms. He was also the co-founder of the v2com newswire in 2008. Member of the Fondation CLU (20042010) and the Société des designers graphiques du Québec (SDGQ) since 2005, Pierre Bélanger has been a certified graphic designer (DGA) since 2012. That same year, he served as a jury member in the selection process of the Lorne C. Perry Award. Pierre's insight and expertise also earned him a "guru" invitation to the fifth edition of the 13 Gurus + Me event (2010).

HONORS WETSTYLE has been fortunate to have received industry and international recognition for product excellence. Design awards include the 2012 and 2013 GOOD Design™ Award, as granted by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, for Couture and Glacier, and the 2013 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for Glacier. WETSTYLE has also earned numerous Interior Design Best of Year Awards (BOY Awards) for M and Round Platter in 2009, DC in 2010 and Frame in 2012, among others. In 2013 and 2015, WETMAR BiO™ was recognized in the green innovation category as the industry’s first recipe for Soy and Mineral stone, used in the fabrication of composite bath fixtures.

WETSTYLE’s products are hand-forged locally in Montreal, Canada, ensuring that fuel and transport costs are a fraction of volume-based manufacturers who outsource production to overseas factories. Woods used in WETSTYLE’s furniture collections are harvested from renewable forestry, and the company’s scrupulous efficiency in production enables a waste and scrap rate of less than 1%. High-quality materials and timeless design ensure product longevity and durability, and ease of repair minimizes waste and energy consumption.

An industry first, WETMAR BiO™ is an eco-friendly thermo-insulating material made primarily from a mix of Mother Earth’s natural ingredients – soy and mineral stone. WETSTYLE has pioneered a proprietary and code-compliant recipe that uses soy and vegetable extracts to replace the petrochemical-based resins in heavy use by the industry.
