Sundays in July at 9 p.m. on WETA TV 26 & WETA HD This month, Masterpiece Mystery! premieres Endeavour (July 1), starring Shaun Evans in a “prequel” to the Inspector Morse series. Endeavour explores Morse’s years as a young investigator. Also on Masterpiece is Inspector Lewis, Series V (July 8–29), which features new episodes starring (above) Kevin Whately (r) and Laurence Fox.

But a murder turns up that only he can solve.
