ur community provides spectacular hiking trails. Try Lighthouse Park for a network of easy trails winding through old growth forest to the rocky coastline, converging on the lighthouse. Enjoy views across the waters of Burrard Inlet to downtown Vancouver. Cypress Falls offers a short trail that starts in Caulfeild and leads to an impressive set of waterfalls. Hike a bit farther to an even larger waterfall plunging into a deep canyon. Black Mountain Trail provides a great taste of alpine hiking. It parallels the ski slope on Black Mountain, rising steeply through forested terrain and providing peekaboo views of Howe Sound. Continue past sparkling Cabin Lake to Eagle Bluffs for great views of Vancouver and Mount Baker. For information on the difficulty, length and conditions of these and dozens of other local trails, visit vancouvertrails.com/regions/the-north-shore/.
We are grateful to live and work on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples.
