•Birch, Norma B., died April 7, 2018 at age 84. Predeceased by her husband of 55 years James (Toby) Birch, parents Glen and Irene (Lock) Bolton, sister Joyce Coller, brother-in-law Albert Fisher, favorite aunt Florence Locke and special friends Joan Mack, Ann Kelly, Lil Holt, and Chris Ferris. Norma is survived by her sister and best friend Dorothy L. Fisher; four children: Patricia (Tracy) Wooton, Paul (Irene) Birch, Sally (Gary) Payne and Ken (Lisa) Birch, eight grandchildren: Sarah, Ruthie, Sam, Katie, Glen, Hayden, Daniel and Jackson; brother-in-law George Coller and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of her life was held April 28 at Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to Palliative Care Education in honor of Norma B. •MacIntosh, Michael D., age 63, died April 23, 2018. He was born September 9, 1954 in Queens, New York, a son of the late Ethel McGuire and Donald MacIntosh. Michael served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Mary MacIntosh. He is survived by his son Rob (Ann) Deskins of Albion; grandchildren Travis, Jacob, Jordan and Rob Jr.; great-grandson Joel; his brothers Pete (Nellie) MacIntosh of New Jersey, Patrick (Nellie) MacIntosh of Binghamton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. •Gilman, Joan C., age 38, died suddenly at her residence on April 18, 2018. She was born October 5, 1979 in Providence, Rhode Island to Arthur and Margaret (Dionne) Tetreault, Sr. and had lived in this area over 13 years. She was truly devoted to her family, especially to her son. Mrs. Gilman was predeceased by her son: Richard “RJ” Gilman, Jr. She is survived by the father of her son, Richard

Gilman, Sr.; her siblings: Arthur Tetreault, Jr., Patricia Tetreault-Taylor, Donna Malo, Michael Tetreault, Sr., Theresa Herbert, Judith Stegall as well as several nieces and nephews. Her Memorial Service was held April 28 at the Albion 1st Baptist Church. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Sandy Creek Cemetery. He was born September 12, 2003 in Greensboro, North Carolina to Richard (Sr.) and Joan (Tetreault) Gilman and had lived in this area most of his life. RJ was a 9th grade student in the Kendall Central School System where he was in the Chorus and last year was a cast member of the school musical, “Seussical the Musical”. He is survived by his father: Richard Gilman, Sr., his grandparents: Art (Gloria) Gilman, Christine (the late David) Newbould, Tom (Vicky) Seiler; his aunts and uncles: Tim Gilman, Art (Christine) Gilman, Peter (Rose) Gilman, Paulette (Pam) Stockwell, Larry Divito as well as many friends including Kendall Central School students and staff members. His Memorial Service was held April 28 at the Albion 1st Baptist Church. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Sandy Creek Cemetery. •Fitch, Warren L., died April 22, 2018 at age 91. Predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Lou (Cameron) Fitch; parents, Donald and Laura Fitch; four sisters and brothers-in-law Virginia (Harold) Whiting, Delores (Charles) Duffy, Elaine (Jack) Mellema and Caroline (Leonard) Britton. Survived by his children, Bruce (Debbie) Fitch and Debra (Stan) Smith; three grandchildren, Angela (Todd) Pabis, Kimberly (Nick) Vranas and Heather Smith; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service was held April 27 at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Chili. Interment, Creekside Cemetery, Churchville.

Robert W. MacInnis Robert W. MacInnis passed away peacefully at the age of 103 on April 6, 2018. Predeceased by his wife, Barbara; sisters, Margaret, Ruth, Pauline, Frances and Dorothy; brothers Donald and Hugh. Many of you in Brockport, Hamlin, Hilton, Spencerport areas may have seen him in local restaurants where he ate lunch daily and played cards. Robert was an incredible human, unselfish, loving, generous, friendliest and all around great man who would always cheer you up if ever you were having a bad day. Born in Nova Scotia on March 25, 1915 moving to Martha’s Vineyard when he was 14, served in WWII with 738th Field Artillery Battalion from 1943 to 1946, an incredible piano player & piano tuner by trade attended the Boston Conservatory of Music and The Niles Bryant Schoool of Piano Tuning, married his wife Barbara in 1968 and became a widow in 1995. Around 2008 he moved to Brockport to be near his sister Dorothy Armstrong. Robert lived in an apartment in The Meadows until 2015 when he moved to The Landing, an assisted living facility and then to Lakeside Beikirch Care Center that became Elderwood at Lakeside of Brockport. Thank you to the staff that took care of him. We continued to visit him, play cards, and place him in front of the piano. We will be traveling to Martha’s Vineyard to return Robert to his family plot. You will be greatly missed, and we are so thankful that you crossed our paths. Love Always – Christine and Kelly.

Louis R. Smith Brockport: Louis R. Smith passed away April 19 at age 74. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Roslyn. Children: Chris (Joanne), Tim (Deanna) & Andy Smith; Joanne (Marc) Major & Jim D’Amico. 13 Grandchildren and three Great-grandchildren. •Alexander, Victoria “Vicki” Crear, age 72, passed away on April 13, 2018. She was a proud graduate of Russell Sage College. After graduation she taught for 10 years in the Spencerport Central School District where she met her husband, James Alexander. On April 3, 1971 they were married. Vicki retired from teaching to raise their two children. She embarked on a second career in the insurance industry. Vicki was an active member and volunteer of Elmgrove United Methodist Church. In her retirement she pursued volunteer activities including Meals on Wheels and Westside Express. Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Barbara Crear. Survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James Alexander; devoted children, Katie (Ron) Morrison and Matt (Elizabeth) Alexander; grandchildren, Aidan and Connor Morrison and Margaret “Maisy” Alexander; loving sister, Donna (Spyros) Dellaportas and brother, Steven (Cathy) Crear; sister-in-law and brother-in-law; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of Vicki’s life was held April 28 at Elmgrove United Methodist Church. Donations can be made to the Palliative Care Program at Strong Memorial Hospital, Elmgrove United Methodist Church, or Meals on Wheels of Rochester in her memory.

•Hoffman, Josephine “Jo” (Giacopelli) of Rochester, died April 19, 2018 at age 74. She is predeceased by her parents, Amy and Anthony Giacopelli. Survived by her husband of 57 years Richard Hoffman; children, Denise (Buddy) Hoffman, Marialena (Larry) Batz, Suzanne (John) Evans, Danielle (Kenn S.) Hoffman; grandchildren, Gabrielle Batz, Erika Batz, JR (Kelly) Evans, Jared (Samantha) Evans, Michael Carusotti, Nicholas Carusotti; sisters, Barbara (Bobby) Pelosi, Lynda (Mass) Saraceni, Camille Giacopelli. Her Funeral Service was held April 21 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment in St. Vincent Cemetery.
