What I learned from the mentoring inherent in my Westridge education was to be a confident, independent thinker. Owing to the diversity of experience, culture, and physical ability in the student body, the Westridge dialectic is intrinsically rich and able to prepare girls to be confident in challenging situations. I can say that Westridge gave me a voice, confidence, and a passion for learning and examining the world around me. - Elizabeth (Tizzie) Oldknow-Huttinger ’68, Researcher and public health expert whose work led to the cure for human schistosomiasis, a devastating water parasite disease. Westridge 2016 Ranney Award Recipient.
