James saw many constituency boundary changes over the years which he took in his stride and he managed to build a strong support base in many places far away from home, his strength was very much in the personal touch approach in the old fashioned way he kept in touch, visiting people in their homes, hearing their problems and issues, he made many friends in this way. James was laid to rest on Friday at Killiney Cemetary following requiem Mass at St. Marys Church, Castlegregory. On Thursday evening friends, former supporters and public representatives formed a guard of honour outside St. Marys Church, Castlegregory as the cortege left Lynch’s funeral home. James is survived by his nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, brother in law, relatives and many friends. His wife Rita predeceased him. Sympathy is extended to all.
