Keel GAA Club Lotto There was no winner of the lotto draw worth €6,700 held in Foleys Bar on Sunday 13th March. Numbers drawn were 6, 10, 20 and 22. €50 winner was Ann Kane, Gortanedin. €25 winners were Eden Kane, Gortanedin, Abbie Hilliard, Shanahill, Helen Cronin, Castlemaine and Paul Bonner, Farnes. Next weeks lotto is worth €6,800 and the draw will take place in Grifins Bar on Sunday 20th March Mid Kerry League Keel traveled to Killorglin to play Laune Rangers today and the fast tempo of this drawn game will benefit both sides before the opening round of the County League next week. Keel opened the scoring with points from Aaron Murphy and Thomas Ladden. LR responded well to go 3-2 up but Keel kicked the next 3 points through Martin Burke and Gary Sayers 2 to take control of the game, Further points from Shane Prendiville, Murphy and Sayers had it LR 0-7 Keel 0-8 at half time. Donal O’Neill extended Keel’s lead to 2 after the break. LR started to come back into the game and in a ten minute spell turned the match with 3points to lead by 1. In this time Keel lost Aaron Murphy to a head injury and had no available subs so they played the remainder of the match with 14 men. Keel showed great resolve to retake the lead with 10 minutes of normal time remaining through Sayers and Ladden. Colm O’Shea kicked a fine equalizer on the 60 minute mark but there was lots of injury time due to the injury to Murphy. On 60+7 minutes LR looked to have stolen the win with a massive free from 50 metres by John O’Shea but Keel worked the ball up the field and won a free kick which Gary Sayers coolly converted on 60 + 9 minutes to leave the final score LR 0-12 Keel 0-12. We wish Aaron Murphy a speedy recovery and hopefully he will be fit for Keel’s opening County League game against Dromid on Sunday 20th March at 2pm in Keel.
