Kerry College of Further Education is a centre of excellence in Kerry for the provision of Post Leaving Certificate programmes. The college, run under the auspices of Kerry ETB, offers school leavers and adult learners access to a whole host of quality assured programmes from a variety of awarding bodies thus, enabling students to achieve Level 5 and Level 6 certification on the National Framework of Qualifications. Essentially this means that students leave the college after their studies with a qualification that allows them to seek immediate employment or to progress to third level colleges and universities in Ireland and abroad. We are proud to be one of the chief providers of further education in Munster with students from all over the country now choosing this college for all it has on offer. Students who choose the college will experience first-hand a positive and supportive environment from a team of teachers committed to assisting the student achieve their goals. The college itself has grown significantly in recent years both in terms of student numbers and the range of courses on offer. Students now benefit from new and improved state of the art facilities in the newly refurbished building. Teaching staff in many cases not only hold their teaching qualifications but also industry experience in their field which guarantees the student a first class service. Work experience forms an integral part of all programmes and this ensures that skills gained can be put to use in a practical work environment as the student progresses through the course. A quality work placement is a great addition to a student’s CV, since it really gives them an edge when looking for a job once they have graduated. Daily Bus Eireann transport links to Tralee from The West and Mid Kerry areas make Kerry College of Further Education a very viable option for students. A return service operates from Dingle to Tralee with pick up points in Lispole, Annascaul and Camp. There is also a daily return service from Killorglin to Tralee with pick up points in Milltown and Castlemaine. The college is currently accepting applications for Sept intake.
