Aqua Yoga (RP - closed to public)

Yoga, along with meditation, helps to regenerate and repair cells, decrease anxiety, and improve your mood. We will be practicing a variety of yoga styles for every “body”. This class incorporates mudras and mantras.

My journey to fitness, movement and mindfulness goes all the way back to 1991 when I began studying martial arts. In 2017 I became a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and feel I really found my place on the mat as I truly enjoy helping people. I expanded my yoga training to include Prenatal, Yin Yoga, and most recently Mom & Tot classes.

I recently moved back to the Okanagan from Beaumont, Alberta and started working as a lifeguard and swim instructor here. I really enjoy the atmosphere at JBMAC as it’s a tight knit “community” where everyone is super nice and supportive. When I’m not hanging out at the pool I love to hike and spend time outdoors. I am passionate about animals as I have three dogs and two cats at home.

Endurance is evaluated through a 300-metre swim. Swimmers work on sprints for short distances and have increased distance swims for front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke, refining their techniques and developing efficiency. Swimmers increase their knowledge in lifesaving skills by learning all three lifesaving kicks and performing a 10-metre underwater swim to recover a submerged object. 31263 Tu 31357 Sa 31358 Su
