Bobby Bovenzi with Nankama
Nankama (which means Born to Drum) is a West African Drum and Dance troupe, lead by Master Rhythm Instructor Bobby Bovenzi. Nankama has performed throughout the Okanagan in over 300 shows since 2007 Members of the troupe are keen students of drum and dance and study very hard to make sure they are representing these traditional rhythms in a way the Masters of Africa have intended. Nankama has assisted many organizations to fundraise over $100K for countries in Africa, Women in Need and the homeless here in Canada.
Alma Kubana
It must have been fate that brought Alma Kubana together in September '22. "The first time we played together we felt like we'd been doing it our whole lives".
Alma Kubana started as a trio performing a wide repertoire of Cuban and Latin American music which goes from energetic and lively to introspective and musing. From lyrical ballads and traditional music to groovy salsas, there is a musical palette that transports the ear and body on an exotic journey at every performance Some of their repertoire includes original compositions and famous works from different countries: like “Libertango” by Astor Piazzolla (Argentina), “Los muñecos” by Ignacio Cervantes (Cuba), “Andarele” (Ecuador), “Tico Tico No Fubá” (Brasil), “El diablo suelto” (Venezuela), “Jamaica Farewell” by Harry Belafonte (Jamaica), “Pájaro Campana” (Paraguay). As a group they play Latin Music to dance; styles as salsa, rumba, bachata, cha cha chá, danzón, bolero and more.
Cat Wells Blues Band
Cat Wells is a Canadian Blues artist, vocalist, song writer with ballsy vocals and expressive stage presence Her voice has been compared to Susan Tedeschi, Beth Hart and Janis Joplin Cat’s fondness of syncopation pulls her toward funky blues stylings. Cat’s early mentors were Billie Holiday and Etta James. She has been honoured as Vocalist of the year twice by the Okanagan Arts Council and has been featured in Okanagan Life Magazine and Wild Life Magazine. Cat and her band have performed at numerous Blues Festivals, including "White Rock Blues Festival"-Whiterock BC, “Rendezvous Blues Festival”-Oroville Washington and "Beaches Blues Festival"-Toronto, ON to name a few and they were recently invited to Memphis to perform at the Women in Blues Showcase.
Some of Cat’s career highlights include support for Jeff Healey, Harpdog Brown and ZZ Top amongst many others. Cat has released 2 CDs’ “CathyAnn Wells Live with the Bowman Trio”, “Bootleg Blues” and December 16, 2025 released "Brand New Shoes” featuring artists Jason Buie, Johnny Ferreira (Colin James band) and the late Sonny Rhodes. The latest release is now receiving airplay on over 70 radio stations. The band is currently working on their next release.
Sherman Doucette and the Tank Full of Blues
Vancouver blues musician and harmonica collector, Doucette survived a major explosion, played with John Lee Hooker, and formed notable bands like INCOGNITO and Tankful of Blues. He’s performed widely, backed artists, appeared on CBC and CTV, and is passionate about vintage harmonicas. His story is one of resilience, passion, and dedication to blues music.
A celebrated blues harmonica player and vocalist from BC with a storied career spanning over five decades. With numerous accolades and a dedicated following, his performances are known for their authenticity, commitment, and love for his chosen genre.
Lucas Wentworth is a dynamic singer, songwriter, and producer whose music blends the past and present to create a sound all his own Hailing from Kelowna, BC, Lucas’s music takes inspiration from icons like Charlie Puth, Hall & Oates, and SZA, creating songs that are as emotionally rich as they are catchy.
After relocating to Edmonton, Lucas immersed himself in the world of soft rock, which now shapes the sound of his upcoming second album, Fortune (2025). Drawing from pop/rock influences such as John Mayer, Prince, and Journey, this new project promises a more analog, live-band sound that reflects his evolving artistic vision. Known for his crowd interaction, he’s able to transform his concerts into memorable experiences, whether leading the audience in sing-alongs during his upbeat tracks or sharing intimate moments during quieter songs. He’s already shared the stage with acts like Big Sugar, Econoline Crush, and PRISM, and his standout moment was performing at the opening ceremony of the BC 55+ Games to a crowd of 2,500.
Formed in 2017 as the songwriting outlet of singer-guitarist Eryn Kleyh, October Poppy evolved into a full-fledged trio in 2021 with the addition of bassist Nick Thomas and drummer Matt Pord. With over 40 years of combined experience, the band fuses poetic lyricism with a gritty, danceable sound that balances dreamy textures and raw edge. Influenced by the likes of Patti Smith, The Pixies, and Lucy Dacus, October Poppy delivers music that feels nostalgic yet fresh like Fleetwood Mac raised on riot grrrl records and Pacific Northwest rain.
The band has performed across Western Canada, playing notable venues and festivals such as Vancouver’s Roxy, Silver Star Mountain Resort, and Kelowna’s Revelry. They’ve shared stages with acts like Jesse Roper and Brass Camel, steadily building a reputation for their dynamic live presence. In 2025, October Poppy returns with new music, starting with their single “Catch” and a string of shows across the Okanagan and beyond.

Despite all the titles, she just wants to make music that connects people to their higher purpose and inspires those around her to see all the beauty and gratitude that life has to offer.
Jodie has performed at Monday Mag’s “Best Music Festival in North America” Shambhala Music Festival in 2015, 2017, 2018 , 2019 and 2022 and has opened for artists such as Kytami, DubFx, The Pharcyde and Methodman & Redman. Jodie B has produced and co-produced for hiphop legends including features from Q from Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Mayday!, Nino Bless and Slug from Atmosphere in 2020.
