So much of Westerns success results from our students who follow their academic dreams and call our campus home. Western is committed to offering learners highly individualized instruction to ensure all students can pursue their educational aspirations regardless of their ability to pay. Private philanthropic support of scholarships is a critical bridge in a funding gap that only seems to widen year after year. To that end, Western seeks to raise scholarship support to provide access to all students, increase enrollment and retention, and recruit high-quality learners. Western will create and expand academic and athletic scholarships across campus and enhance the university experience.

The Gunnison Valley Promise commits to every student in The Gunnison Valley that if they stay in school and keep their grades up, they will have the opportunity to get an education at Western Colorado University tuition free, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
