A commitment to an inclusive, diverse, and equitable campus environment

In March of 2023, Western established the 2SLGBTQIA+ Scholarship to provide financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students who identify with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. In its inaugural award year, students who identify with the queer+ population or as an ally were able to apply to this fund for financial support. This fund was established through generous contributions from the campus and community to support students’ sense of belonging and progress towards completion of their degree(s). The 2SLGBTQIA+ Scholarship will continue to gain momentum from private support to further support students at Western. This exemplary scholarship reflects Western Colorado University's mission and values.
