A Canadian classical legend. For almost 50 years, concert pianist Janina Fialkowska has enchanted audiences and critics around the world. Praised for her musical integrity, refreshing natural approach, and unique piano sound, she has been hailed as “one of the Grandes Dames of piano playing” (Frankfurter Allgemeine).

A venerated interpreter of the music of Chopin, she is the winner of the BBC Music Magazine’s 2013 “Instrumental CD of the Year” award as well as a Canadian Juno (2018). She is an Officer of the Order of Canada and winner of the “Governor General’s 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award in Classical Music.” Janina will be performing works by Schubert, Brahms, Ravel and Chopin including the A Major Polonaise (“Military”) and Scherzo no. 4 in E.
