Austin College Ida Green Renovation Problem Renovate the Ida Green auditorium built in the 1970s on the Austin College campus in Sherman, TX to encourage greater community foot traffic and student use. Solution Create commons space to allow for student collaboration and after hour studies, and update the auditorium chairs and finishes to elevate the theatrical experience of the space to encourage higher event attendance.

Seed Effect Headquarters Problem To design an office for a nongovernmental organization supporting South Sudanese communities in the pursuit of economic empowerment. Solution Use of texture, shape, and color as inspiration from the markets and housing structures of South Sudan, allowing the visuals of a South Sudanese community to shape an American work environment.

Solution Design an end table using only curvilinear elements to embody the ideals of security, comfort, and permanence necessary in the socially tumultuous period of the 1950s.

Solution Color, form, and proportion used to encourage visual continuity and interest throughout the space to create an environment conducive to comfortable living.
