SKY DECK
The Mekong is the seventh longest river in all of Asia, and the 12th longest in the world. Stretching 4,350 km from China through the Tibetan Plateau and Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, it empties into the South China Sea south of Saigon. It is the lifeblood of Southeast Asia, and many centuries of cultural, economic and political history have played out on its banks.
SUN DECK
The Victoria Mekong sails weekly between the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh and the Vietnamese town of Can Tho in the Mekong Delta. Her three-night downstream itinerary sails from Sisowath Quay in Phnom Penh and calls at Tan Chau, Long Xuyen and Tan Loc Island, with excursions to historic houses, a plum wine distillery, the ethnology museum and a floating market. Those joining the four-night upstream sailings from Can Tho will call at Long Xuyen, Tan Chau and Tiger Island for excursions to a silk village, floating market, the museum and local pagoda. Guests on both itineraries will enjoy nightly evening entertainment on board, ranging from Cambodian Apsara performances to traditional Mekong folk music and even a mischievous lion dance on the sun deck. Onboard activities range from mini-golf to cocktail-making competitions, destination presentations and film nights.
