Wendover Rotary and Hector’s House

Rotary in Wendover wants to thank all the people in Wendover and Weston Turville who supported their fund raising events this year, particularly our Santa Ecosleigh sorties in December 2019.

The first beneficiary of this activity is local Mental Health Charity Hector’s House which supports young people.

On behalf of the family, trustees and beneficiaries of Hector’s House, we would like to say a huge thank you for your incredibly generous gift of £3,500 on 24 April 2020. As you know from your many months as valued supporters, we were devastated when our son, brother and friend Hector took his own life aged just 18. Thanks to your generosity, we will be able to help young people understand their mental health and offer ways to help them through their problems including:

• Continuing to signpost people at crisis point to immediate and long-term help. • Promoting mental health awareness and positivity through our online presence.
