Stretching skyward, and crowning the western edge of Wenatchee, Saddle Rock is a rugged landmark that is impossible to miss. The landmark earned itself the title “Best Hike” in Wenatchee this year, and according to Hanne Beener, Trails Program Manager for the ChelanDouglas Land Trust, the accolade is not misplaced. “Saddle Rock is by far the most iconic hike in the Foothills of Wenatchee,” said Beener. “It defines Wenatchee's skyline to the West.” Beener believes that the trail systems around Saddle Rock are perfect for families and hikers of all levels. It is this, combined with the location’s dramatic landscape, that make it the best place to hit the trails. “Saddle Rock Natural Area is easy to get to, provides amazing views, and gives a sense of solitude to trail users,” said Beener. “It's open year-round, and a brand
