Construction Updates

North East Lands will be home to an array of shops, restaurants and business premises, as well as the remainder of Union Park and more than 2,000 homes.

The first two plots – NE02 and NE03 – will deliver office and retail space along with 769 homes, 201 of them affordable. In recent months, construction has progressed well:

· The early and enabling works for NE02 and

NE03 have been successfully completed. All deep infrastructure is now in the ground, which means the main works can commence. · Around 800 piles have been installed over an impressive two-month period. · Substructure works are progressing well ready for pouring the concrete forms of the buildings. · There are currently three tower cranes on site, with two more coming before the end of 2022.

The demolition phase for the NE01 project is also commencing shortly and the utility disconnections process has commenced.

High voltage infrastructure has also been installed from the Spanish Steps up to the NE04 plot.

Samovar Space

The impressive Sound Shell and giant floor mural of Samovar Space have been added to with elements designed by apprentices from the London School of Economics. These include Calm Houses – bespoke timber structures – and external timber seating.

Samovar Space reopened on 12th September 2022 and is now complete, ready for residents to enjoy throughout the winter and beyond.

Repton Gardens

The final works are now underway at Repton Gardens, with the first residents due to move in during December 2022.

Once complete, Repton Gardens will be a showcase for sustainable living in Wembley Park. It will provide 396 homes, ranging from studios to four-bedroom apartments, spread across three buildings: Birch House, Cherry House and Aspen House. The epicentre of the development will be a pretty podium garden with mature trees and two play areas.
