A Day in the Life

The opinions of our community are important to us. Every year, we survey local residents and ask them to share their views on the neighbourhood. Here are a few takeaways: “The community and ambience are my favourite parts. Having quite a lot on your doorstep and such a diverse culture. I enjoy the safety of walking around early hours of the morning for work and returning late with ease.” Faye, Alameda “I enjoy feeling very safe and the big variety of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Also, I love having everything I need for my day-to-day life within walking distance.”

Phoebe, Unite Students, Olympic Way “The area is very well lit, very safe, with live music and events all the time!” Rhiannon,

“I like that all the Williamson Heights architecture feels very modern, new and sleek.

I love that there’s enough lights on the pavements, so it doesn’t feel unsafe when walking home at night.”

Zoe, Canada Gardens “It is like a little village and everything you need is here.” Jodie, Belcanto “Open at least one good bookshop please!” Rahima, Quadrant Court “It’s simply the best place to live and bring up my twin toddler daughters. The play parks are brilliant.” Neha, Shams Court

“Safe, pretty, nice apartment, but would like to see more late-night venues.” Sarah, Landsby

“The open space. And cleanliness. I always see it being cleaned which is great.” Amanda, Archery Court

“It would be great to have a few more pubs at different price ranges and a dedicated cocktail bar.” Mark, Emerald Gardens

“Not always clear when it’s event day parking. Annoying when I must park elsewhere as it’s event day parking charges.” John, Pinnacle

“Very clean and safe place to live, with obvious security and CCTV. Wide open walkways.” Chenine, Cedar House
