Christmas Celebration
The annual Prep School Christmas Celebration took place over two nights in the Cathedral during the final week of the Advent Term. Featuring every child in the Prep School, the programme was a blend of traditional and contemporary festive music, dramatic pieces performed by Years 5 and 6 and performances by the String Ensemble and Orchestra. It was a magical occasion, and as ever, the children performed brilliantly.

Primary Maths Festival This year the Senior School Maths Department celebrated its 21st Primary Maths Festival, hosting nine teams of four Year 5 and 6 pupils from local primary schools in a fun day of mathematical activities. The day began with a poster competition based on the theme of ‘Interesting Numbers’ and the teachers were really impressed by the variety of ideas the pupils displayed. Teams then took part in a fastpaced mathematical relay race before a well-earned lunch break. In the afternoon pupils tackled more problem solving and practical tasks. Congratulations to the teams from St Joseph & St Teresa Catholic Primary School and Kilmersdon Primary School for producing the best posters and also to the team representing Wells Cathedral Prep School for winning the overall competition.
