Whatever you feel about the over-commercialisation of events like Valentine’s Day, it does remind us all about the existence of love and the importance of loving and being loved. Although, of course, we should express love all the time and be especially aware of how privileged we are to experience love, the month of February brings a special thrill into the air. While February is mostly about romantic love, I would like to encourage you to consider all types and aspects of love, from friendship and family to new or lost love.
As we celebrate love, it’s also important to be mindful of those who have lost love or are lonely during this time. We’ve outlined how to get over heartbreak in Be Well, and we explain how to deal with panic attacks. In Live Well, we look at how to find your soul mate and what that actually means. Dr Yesheen explains what the ‘cuddle hormone’ oxytocin does and how you can use it to spread the love.
I’m sure you’re going to really enjoy this love-packed issue!
