The County of Wellington provides Solid Waste Services for Mapleton Township.

Urban Areas Garbage and recycling collection occurs every week in urban areas. Mapleton garbage and recycling is picked up every Tuesday. Place your bags at the curbside by 7:00 am on your collection day, as collection may occur anytime between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Curbside Garbage & Recycling Collection Wellington County has a full user pay system for garbage. There is a fee for every bag of garbage picked up at curbside. User pay bags are available throughout the area:  Alma General Store,  Daisy Mart, 3 Peel Street West, Alma 12 Wellington St. S., Drayton  Drayton Foodland,  Mar-Span Home Building Centre, 90 Wellington St. S., Drayton 7873 Wellington Rd. 8, Drayton  Sunny Convenience,  Rothsay Waste Facility, 89 Wellington St. S., Drayton 8495 Wellington Rd. 7 Blue Box Materials should be separated into two different blue boxes  Paper Products  Glass, Metal and Plastic Containers

Rural Areas Drop-Off Garbage and Recycling Residents can take garbage and recycling materials to any Wellington County Waste Facility. Rothsay Waste Facility, Transfer Station  8495 Wellington Road 7 in Mapleton  Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm  Disposal fees apply for waste  No fee for recycling  Please separate your recyclables!
