INTRO Hi, there. I'm Weiwei Zhou, come from Beijing, China. I just had my 20-year-old birthday, and this portfolio was the birthday gift that I gave to myself. I eat a lot and sleep a little in the course of my sophomore year, it is a tough year with happiness and tears. I appreciate the help from all my professors, I really learned a lot. Thank you so much! By the way, I really love Coney Island. : )

This portfolio was collecteted the best works that I did this year. There were so many interesting projects and events, It was unbelieveble that I've learned so much in this year. I basicly have no idea about how to use PS, AI, and ID last year, and now, I finally got the feeling of achivement. Salute to all the money I spent on the printer machine, red bull, and dry shampoo!

COURSE: Basic Type INSTRUCTOR: Olga Mezhibovskaya SEMESTER: Spring 2016 In this project we created posters with cut-out numbers, paragraphs, titles, logos, and pictures. I've never tried this way to create posters before. The whole process was amazing and unexpectable. SIZE:11" x 7"

Begin with random combination.

I just regularly put the big numbers and these small one together, and randomly let the cutout logos and titles scattered around them. I was so glad that I did this kind of combination, it felt freshness to me. And I just took pictures of it then edit the light and contrast of them in Photoshop to make a good-looking poster.

Course: Basic Type Instructor: Olga Mezhibovskaya Semester: Fall 2015 The name of my typeface is VEEVO. I started to create this typeface with letter "A", the structure of it is slightly effected by art deco style. I named my typeface that means "vivo" to me, it also sounds familiar to my English name Vivian.

COURSE: Computer studio INSTRUCTOR: laina leckie SEMESTER: Fall 2015 This was a book-making project. We could choose any theme that we would love to make a book of it. And my book is about LGBT marriage. I did a lot of interviews of my LGBT friends and recorded conversations and collected their pictures in order to make this book. One of them said, "We shine." Then I decided to use it as my title for the whole book. This book is meaningful to me. And thanks to my dear friends, I always belive that love wins. :)

This project had so much chanllenges. And the drawing paper was huge! I've always had a Disney dream, and I was effected by my budism parents, so I was tring to find a interesting way to combine budism culture and my favorite Miki Maus.

These snowflakes just spent me one day to do it, because they were so attractive to me, I just couldn't help keep doing this project. It was really interesting to creat snowflakes with letters, and finished them with an elegant look.

I chose Marco polo in the celebrity list. He is one of the most famous traders and explorers in the world, so when I designed it, I put a little flag and a compass in the logo. They are the symbol of voyaging and exploring.

It was a CD cover design project, I always feel relaxed when I look at the water ripple, they are regularly moving with glintting in the sun or moonlight. Hope you enjoy the relaxing cello and water glintting.

RECORD COVER DESIGN
It was a record cover design project, we started to design it just like what we did in the alphabetic poster design project. When we finished the whole design work, Olga asked us to buy different kind of paper then printed the works on them in order to see the difference visual effects and the sence of touch that paper brought to us. 153
It can also printed on sqaure cards, it's kind of like an interst of mine. I would love to collect cards like this, somtimes I see a beautiful record cover but I don't even know who the singer is, I just want a small card of the cover .
