Telemark skiing wasn’t Godek’s first love for her since she started skiing at a young age. “Skiing was instilled in me by my parents,” said Godek about those early days learning to ski at Gunstock. “They wanted me and my sister to be skiers. I tried Alpine skiing first but didn’t like

it much and eventually switched to Nordic,” but eventually she got burnt out on it. “I wasn’t enjoying it anymore,” said Godek. “Then my mom introduced me to Telemark Skiing in 2004.” In Telemark Skiing, which is also known as See godek on 22

Sara Ellen Godek from Gilford, has recently been approved by the United States Telemark Ski Association (USTSA) Board of Directors to compete in the World Cup at Steamboat Spring, Colorado on February 10-14th, 2014.

For Godek, who works now in Tennessee for a clinical research company, this is another step in her line of goals with Telemark skiing which includes being a top ten finisher in the World Cup Championships and helping to get Telemark skiing into the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Sara Godek of Gilford, New Hampshire, was recently approved by the US Telemark Ski Association (USTSA) to compete in the World Cup in Colorado in February. This is just another step in Sara’s goals to compete in higher levels of this unique skiing sport as well as to help bring it to the 2018 Winter Olympics.

“Police Academy’s” ‘Man of 10,000 Sound Effects’ makes a rare New England Appearance Michael Winslow, best known for his soundinspired roles in “Spaceballs” and the “Police Academy” franchise, brings his amazing knack for imitation to The Chameleon Club in Dover NH on Saturday, December 28th at 9pm. The performance marks Winslow’s only appearance in New England this year. Winslow’s December 28th show will be the kickoff event in The Chameleon Club Comedy Series, promoted by Grove’s Awesome Entertainment. Tickets for the show are $20 and are available online at www.awesoment.com or at Cara Irish Pub, located at 11 Fourth Street in Dover.
