A Story Project started with limited information, my job was to create a conceptual drawing based on Google map and use its site contour to start the project. The challenge of this project is mainly the expression of the massing and how we can make the building talk with it’s nature mountainous environment. We had to went through intense community presentation to convince that the project would be a beautiful design that brings positive impact to the community of Snoqualmie.

A Story

LINE

Project is especially an interesting one since it was a project that’s mostly done by me. Its challenge is to design a small unit hotel connecting to existing parking garage. I have to pay a few visit to the site and walk around to study its existing structure, and understand how the current usage take place. Then design a solution that combines the new use with existing condition.

Windrow Hotel at Ellensburg, WA Projec started: 2016 Project ownership: Jensen Fey Architecture and Planning

A Story Windrow Hotel is special due to its unique surrounding. In the City of Ellensburg, WA, it’s butting against a historical building. During the early design phase, we were required to study local history so we can be mindful about our architecture language. We also have a connection to the existing Elk’s building that required us to study historical preservation codes. The end product successfully achieved the unit count that client demands and the design also meets the community’s expectation.

Portland Artist & Artisan Plaza at Portland, OR Projec started: 2015 Project ownership: Wei-Cheng Chang Graduate Final Thesis at U.O.

A Story From Urban Planning to Microprogramming, this is a master piece that I spent 9 month working on.

This is part of the Portland Renewal Urban plan, we were asked to design a project suitable to each districts. I come up with a unique approach to categorize every district, including it’s future direction.

The architecture is North West Industrial, which talks the vocabulary of Portland. The project is also designed thoroughly from the exterior to structure to HVAC and nature ventilation.
