A Brief Introduction

歷史沿革

Our History

民國 96 年本所成立，前身為「數位機電科技研究所」，The Graduate Institute of Digital Mechatronic Technology, formerly known as the “Institute of Digital 為一獨立研究所。第一任所長由當時工學院院長陳 Mechatronic Technology” is an independent graduate institute that was established in 2007. 民國 97 年增聘黃正自教授及蘇國和副教授二員，此時研究所專任教師共計三員。由於本所無法滿足教育部對於獨立研究所最低師資員額的要求，於 98 學年度併入機械工程學系，更名為「機械工程學系數位機電碩士班」，其方向也更聚焦於機電整合與控制技術之發展。

In 2010, Professor Jeng-Tze Huang became the Head of the Graduate Institute of Digital Mechatronic

Unable to meet the requirement for minimum teaching number stipulated by the Ministry of Education, the institute was renamed the “Graduate Institute of Digital Mechatronic Technology” after being merged with the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the 2009-2010 Academic Year, at which point a new direction of research was adopted, one more focused on mechatronics and the development of control technology.

Technology. In 2011, a postgraduate program taught in English was established, and the graduate institute started to recruit international students. A total of five international students were recruited in the first year, and a total of six in the second year. More prosperous and stable development is expected to take place in the future along with the gradually growing popularity of the graduate institute.

設立宗旨

Establishment Objectives

成立宗旨主要在有效整合工學院電機工程學系、機械工程學系及資訊工程學系三系之資源，投入數位機電科技之研究及應用工作，培育高階之數位與機電跨領域整合之科技人才，以支援附近科技園區產業之發展。

The primary objectives of establishing the Graduate Institute of Digital Mechatronic Technology were to effectively integrate resources from the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering in the School of Engineering, engage in research and applications of digital mechatronic technology, and nurture high-end scientific and technological personnel who can exercise the interdisciplinary integration of digitalization with electro-mechanics, in order to support the industrial development of nearby technology parks.

The Graduate Institute of Digital Mechatronic Technology, which covers a broad range of studies, aims to develop, design, manufacture, and effectively control electromechanical systems through the integration of the three primary areas: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology. 電機電子及精密機械工業一向是台灣最重要的高科技產業之一，不但在世界上占有一席之地，也為我國賺取大筆外匯，而相關之製造技術日益精進，如何掌握關鍵製造技術進而應用於國內相關高科技

At the time of graduation, students who wish to pursue further studies can apply for a PhD program in an area related to information technology, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering at a renowned graduate institute in Taiwan. Students who wish to join the workforce can work as professional engineers in electrical, electronic, or mechanical industries. Students who wish to work for the government can sit the Civil Service Level Three Senior Examination for electrical and automation professionals, technicians, or relevant positions. In summary, students have an extensive array of choices regarding career paths after graduation.

未來展望

Future Prospects

未來發展分向主要聚焦於機電整合與控制技術之發展，除教學上以此方向規劃多樣豐富化之必選修課程外，為提高學生視野並了解國內學術界或產業界之現況與發展，本所定期邀請校外學者或業界菁英蒞校演講。在此同時，系所專任老師亦將帶領研究生積極從事相關研究，以期除在政府機關委託之各類研究計畫之質與量皆有明顯績效外，相關之論文及專利產出，預期亦將相當豐碩。

The Graduate Institute of Digital Mechatronic Technology’s future direction of research is becoming more focused on the development of mechatronics and control technology. In addition to planning a variety of compulsory and elective courses in line with this direction, the graduate institute plans to invite scholars and industrial elites from outside the campus to give speeches at the school on a regular basis for the purposes of enhancing students’ vision and enabling them to understand the current situation and future development in domestic industries or academia. Meanwhile, full-time faculty members will guide postgraduate students to actively participate in relevant research in the hope to achieve outstanding performance in terms of quality and quantity in various research projects that are commissioned by government organizations. Similarly, production of relevant papers and patents is expected to be prolific.

此外，由於產學合作是教師將研究成果付諸實現的重要方式，未來亦將是本所推動的重點工作。目前除個別教授和企業訂有相關產學合作合約外，本所目前依所上師資專長及附近產業特性綜合考量下，分成以下數個推動小組︰

As an important method for materializing teachers’ research results, academia-industry collaboration is a major task of the graduate institute in the future. In addition to current agreements of academia-industry collaboration between individual professors and enterprises, the graduate institute has also set up a number of promotion teams based on a comprehensive consideration of expertise and research interests of teachers in the graduate institute, as well as the traits of nearby industries. These promotion teams are as follows:

1. 通訊及寬頻網路組：由本所及電機系相關專長教授組成，積極與南港工業園區廠商通訊電子及生產寬頻網路設備之廠商洽談相關合作案。

2. 精密機械與自動化組：由本所及機械系相關專長教授組成，由於鄰近工業區內除有相當數量廠商生產自動化或精密馬達機械相關設備可提供產學合作機會外，專業電子製造商許多生產機台亦需要自動化或控制技術協助，以提高生產效率及品質，有鑑於此，此方面合作案已積極與廠商洽談中。

3. 專業軟體與軔體開發組：由本所及資科系相關專長教授組成，由於內湖軟體工業園區成長快速，近年來已發展成台灣最大軟體工業園區，未來成長性無可限量；此部分產學合作機會無限，而本所在機電系統監控所需軟韌體開發工作上，有相當之研發成果，已由相關專長教師積極與廠商洽談相關合作案中。

Professional Software and Firmware Development Team: This group consists of professors with relevant expertise from the Graduate Institute of Digital Mechatronic Technology and the Department of Computer Science. In light of the rapid growth of Neihu and Nankang Software Industrial Park, which has recently become the largest software industrial park in Taiwan and has great growth potential in the future, this park offers vast opportunities of academia-industry collaboration. Because the graduate institute has generated a considerable amount of research results and innovation in the development of firmware, which is required by electromechanical system monitoring, the graduate institute has entrusted professors with relevant expertise to actively negotiate with relevant manufacturers for potential cooperative projects.

101 學年度第 2 學期研究生學術研究成果獎學金自即日起至 102 年 06 月 05 日(三)截止申請，本次申請之研究成果須於民國 102 年 01 月 01 日至 06 月 30 日間發表，截止受理時，尚未獲得研討會主辦單位或期刊錄取之確定函者，得暫以主辦單位之「同意刊登通知」或「審核中通知」(含電子信函)為證，先提出申請，並於 102 年 06 月 20 日前補齊相關佐證資料，方完成申請程序，愈期者未繳視同放棄，詳細作業流程請閱附檔，請有意提出申請者留意申請時間。 101 第 1 學期期末監考錄取通知。

On the day of the application deadline, applicants who have not received a notification of acceptance from a conference organizer or a journal to which the paper was submitted can make a scholarship application by submitting a “publishing agreement” or a “notification of assessment in progress” (along with e-mail correspondence) from the conference organizer or journal as evidence, and supplement all other required supporting documents by the date of June 20, 2013, to complete the scholarship application procedures. The postgraduate academic paper scholarship for this semester is open for applications from today until the deadline on November 20, 2012 (Tuesday), and results of the application will be announced during the period between July 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012.
