I can’t believe it is May already! The last 5 months has just flown by and we’re nearly halfway through the year. My grandma was right when she told me at a young age “time goes by faster the older you get” We lead hectic, busy lives, and the one thing we never seem to have time for is ourselves. This situation escalates as we work harder to meet the challenges of the new economy. Time truly is the most valuable commodity we have… it is simply irreplaceable. As time goes by, as we grow older, the more we value time, whom we share it with, and how we wisely “spend” it. In this issue of Weekendin we celebrate life and we honour family. intheLIFESTYLE features a snapshot of how life was back in the good old days and now, how family activities have transformed over the years. Although technology has made activities not as simplistic as the days of our fathers, we have discovered some in today’s life that are just as entertaining and can still be as enjoyable for a fun family’s day out.
