He’s emerged as one of the most likable coaches in the A-League – and the passion he displays for the club is evident on the sideline each and every week. Known as a strict leader, Popovic did the unthinkable last year when he took the Wanderers to the Premier’s Plate in the club’s ﬁrst season. Born in Fairﬁeld, Popovic has played and coached soccer worldwide but it’s in western Sydney where he has his true sporting roots.
